End of the examiners' strike

After 5 months of strike in 2017, at last. they have finally. achieved their goal: wage increase
The examiners staged a five-month strike in 2017, during which they demanded, among other things, this increase of 250 euros of specific salary complement. Traffic maintained that this demand was “unfeasible”.
Due to these stoppages there was the suspension of at least 193,000 theoretical and practical exams throughout Spain and with the consequence of a decrease in driving license obtainments , according to union sources. This situation caused the closure of hundreds of driving schools that were affected by the students' departure.
After these months of uncertainty, the examiners of the Dirección General de Tráfico (DGT) have obtained a salary increase through a supplement of 250 euros per month.
